Twenty years ago the workshop was a signwritten ute driving around the western suburbs. Some of the customers from then still come here.
J & L started in 2006 as a mobile mechanical service, with Jason driving to customers right across Melbourne's western suburbs. The signwritten ute still reads "We come to you". The business grew into the Ravenhall workshop it runs from today, and it is still owned and run by Jason and his wife Lorrie-Anne as a family business.
The workshop is in Ravenhall, just off Rebecca Drive near Deer Park. Two bays, hoists with room for a whole rig, and the same person under the bonnet who has been doing it since the beginning.
Jason started J & L in 2006 as a mobile mechanic, working on customers' vehicles across Melbourne's western suburbs out of a signwritten ute. More than twenty years in the trade and a genuine passion for cars built it into the Ravenhall workshop it is today. He is a VicRoads Licensed Vehicle Tester and he is still the one under the bonnet.
Lorrie-Anne built the business alongside her husband Jason and runs it with him as a family business.

The workshop is in Ravenhall. Most people come from the suburbs around it — and the float and caravan work pulls people from a lot further out.
